PACIFIC - CHOCO LOWLANDS

Declared the wettest and most diverse part of the planet, more than 1,500 species of butterflies and more than eight hundred birds among others, Red-capped Manakin, known to be the best dancers .

 

A natural greenhouse, with the most amount of orchids in the world, surprising and colorful insects and amphibians. And also the impressive Basilisco lizard, which runs on the water's surface and the stunning Condoto stubfoot toad.

From July to October the migration of humpback whales from the north makes it possible to see one of the most impressive natural spectacles alongside these giants.

 

 

EL VALLE

 

Small village in front of the peaceful ocean, between stunning beaches and the fascinating rainforest a road to see colorful tangaras, antbirds and incredible amphibians.

 

UTRIA NATURAL PARK

 

One of the best places to explore around. Inside the park are very nice trails in the mangroves and through the forest. Possibility to see the impressive manakins, the Great jacamar, the endemic Baudo Oropendola, Choco toucans, woodpeckers, Neotropical otters, Crab-eating racoons and more

 

Itinerary

 

Day 1

Arrival in Medellín. Accommodation in hotel.

 

Day 2

Flights from Medellin to Bahia Solano

Transportation Bahia Solano- El Valle

Arrival and accommodation in full nature and afternoon walk through the trails around

 

Day 3

Canoe trip to Utria Nature Park, day of exploration of this impressive reserve and from July to October observation of humpback whales. Accommodation in the Park.

 

Day 4

Transport to Utria-Valle trail and walking trail to the hotel (10 km). Excursion of the whole day looking for an enormous variety of species.

 

Day 5

Visit Tundo River and Valle River, stunning canoe trips.

 

Day 6

Back to Bahía Solano- Medellín.
