SANTA MARTA ENDEMICS + PERIJA MTS EXTENSION

Visit the best birding spots in one of the most famous areas in the Neotropics in search for 26 endemics and more than 30 with restricted range. A great diversity in lansdcapes from desertic lowlands, tropical dry forest to cloud forest.

WESTERN AND CENTRAL ANDES

The biggest bird diversity concentrates in these two Andean ranges. Around 30 endemic species are possible among them Buffy helmetcrest, Bicolored antpitta, Gold-ringed tanager and Multicolored tanager

WILDLIFE SAFARI

Big savanna extensions with gallery forest along the rivers make Los Llanos (eastern Plains) very rich in biodiversity; Scarlet Ibises, Roseatte spoonbills, and Pale-legged Jacamar are common, besides groups of capibaras, white-tailed deers, Giant anteaters and many more wildlife make this area an outstanding place for wildlife photography.

CHOCO LOWLANDS

The lusty tropical rain forest in the Pacific coast is the habitat of only one endemic bird, the Baudo Oropendola, but it is quite rich in other specalties like Ocellated Antbird and Red-capped Manakin. Also different species of mammals, reptiles and frogs are very possible to spot in the trails or along rivers.

MITU - AMAZONIA

The biggest tropical rain forest in the world is home of an impressive amount of birds and other kind of wildlife and plants. Some groups, like Antibirds, have reached their maximum diversity in these jungles.
